Show Two women honored Lambda Delta Sigma, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saint college sorority, recently honored two Cedar City women with their Elect Lady Award. Darlene Brinkerhoff and Karen Hugh, sorority advisors, were honored with the award this year. The award is given each year to women who exemplify the five ideals upon which the sorority is based: spirituality, " sisterhood, scholarship, supporting role of woman and service. Mrs. Brinkerhoff is the wife of Charles Brinkerhoff and the mother of five children. She holds a teaching degree from Brigham Young University and is an active community supporter, working with the PTA ahd the 4-H. She has served the LDS church in the Mutual, the Primary, the Sunday School and the Cub Scouts. Mrs. Hugh and her husband, Kent, are the parents of four children. A graduate of Brigham Young University, she has been involved with pre-school and is currently teaching first grade . |
