Show Two women chosen Betty Kingsford and Ada Carpenter have been selected as campus coordinators at Southern Utah State College for HERS-West (Higher Education Resource Services-West), Services-West), a multistate organization to help promote career development for women in higher education. Mrs.,,,- Kingsfqrd.'; is. associate dean ' of students at SUSC. Mrs. Carpenter is chairwoman of the SUSC Department of Family Life. Both are members of the SUSC Women's Resource Committee. HERS-West has been in operation for about one year, initially funded by the Ford Foundation and sponsored by the Women's Resource Center at the University of Utah. A $50,000 grant from the William H. Donner Foundation was awarded to the organization earlier this year. The money will be used over a three-year period to study networking and mentoring among women and to develop training materials to help promote q'areer development for women in higher education. HERS-West is an organization for women in Utah, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Wyoming.
