Show Obituaries GEORGE HYRUM HANSEN, age 71, of Cedar City died Feb. 10, 1981. in a Salt Lake City hospital following surgery. sur-gery. He was born Oct. 7, 1908, in Boulder, Utah, to Christian Andreas and Annie Catherine Larsen Hansen. He married his sweetheart, Erna Mary Hall, in Salt Lake City on Nov. 10, 1934. The marriage was later solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple. He was a member of the LDS Church. Survivors include his wife; three sons: Richard, Hurley and Dewey all of Salt Lake City; two grandchildren, and two brothers and two sisters: . Franklin of Panquitch, Vern of Boulder, Utah, Mrs. Clinton (Vera) Johnson of Richfield and Mrs. Lafe (Esther) Jones of Lehi. Funeral services were held Feb. 14 at 1 p.m. in the Cedar City 17th LDS Ward Chapel, with Bishop Curtis Crawford conducting. Family prayer was offered by Vern Hansen. Prelude and postlude music was by Doris Williams. Musical Selections included "Not Now, But In The Coming Years" and "As The Dew From Heaven Distilling" by the ward choir, with Blanche Dalby as director and Doris Williams accompanying. Speakers were President Kenneth Rett Shakespear, Danny Shakespear, Bishop Ron Godfrey and Bishop Crawford. Prayers were offered by Kent C. Parke and Kenneth A. Parke, and Franklin C. Hansen dedicated the grave. Flowers and compassionate com-passionate services were given by the 17th Ward Relief Society. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of the Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. |
