Show I Lapoint I , Arda Mansfield Sod planted in Lapoint cemetery The activity in the Lapoint Cemetery has accelerated this past week and people are bringing in sod to plant their lots. There are two more lots to be put in today and several more before Memorial Day. We would like to remind people that flowers must be off the graves no later than one week after Memorial Day. Also, if you need someone to water your lots, contact Mr. and Mrs. Clifford since they are the caretakers. Mr. Rober Call was chosen as Democratic chairman of the No. 16 Lapoint Precinct with Mrs. Marlene Harrison as chairwoman and Thelma Winn as secretary. The meeting was held at the home of Thelma Winn. They had a fairly good turnout. May 20 will be the big meeting for the Democrats and Mr. Ted Wilson from Salt Lake Ctiy will be there. Mr. and Mrs. Randall Esplin are the proud parents of a new baby boy. The baby was welcomed home by three sisters and one brother. The grandparents of the baby are Mr. ad Mrs. James Esplin of Lapoint and Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Witbeck of Hunter. Mrs. Vera Bigelow and family were in Lapoint this past week putting sod on family graves. Mrs. Janae Wilkins was visiting in Lapoint this past week. Wayne Young returned home from a mission in Australia and gave his report this past Sunday. Wayne had many family members come to hear; him give his report. Among the members were the parents of Mr. Bob Young. Mr. and Mrs. Reid Rasmussen sold their home to Mr. Bud Reed in Lapoint and moved to Layton. The Rasmussens felt like they would like to live by their children who are all living in that area. |
