Show UBAVC lists student scholars The Business Department at the Uintah Uin-tah Basin Area Vocational Center announced an-nounced this week their outstanding secondary students for the 1981-82 school year. Chosen as the outstanding business student for the department was Bryan Snow who recently was chosen as the Sterling Scholar in business as well as placing second in the State FBLA competition in effective decision making. LesJie Percival was chosen as the outstanding senior business student because" of her outstanding performance in typewriting and shorthand classes. She also recently placed high in the State FBLA competition held at Utah State University in Logan. The outstanding junior is Beth Haueter who will also be representing the UBAVC at the annual Utah Business Week scheduled at Utah State University in August. The sophomore student who has done outstanding work in classes offered at the center is Steve Miller. He placed first in retailing at the recent regional DECA competition and has also achieved achiev-ed in marketing and accounting classes. "We are very proud of the outstanding outstan-ding performance and accomplishments ac-complishments of these students," states Beverly Evans, business department depart-ment chairman. |
