Show Jr. Livestock Show and Sale June 1-4, officials get ready The Uintah Basin Junior Livestock Show will be held Tuesday, June 1 and run through Friday, June 4, according to President Lloyd Clark. To date the committee has issued 171 lamb tags, 118 hog tags and 97 beef tags. In 1981 a total of 231 market animals were displayed at the show. "We are looking forward to a great show this year and hope that individuals in-dividuals and businesses will support the Show and Sale. This is a change to get the best meat in the country," said Clark. Program of events start Tuesday, June 1 with weigh in .from 2 to 6 p.m. The horse show will start at 10 a.m. and run until 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 2 the schedule of events is breeding sheep, 9 a.m., dairy goats, 10 a.m. and breeding beef, 10 a.m. Fitting and showing of animals will take place Wednesday as follows: swine, 11 a.m., sheep, 12:30 p.m. and beef at 1:30 p.m. Junior judging will be from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Thursday, June 3 judging of fat animals will be as follows: swine, 9 to 10:30 a.m., lambs, 10:30 to 12 noon and calves from 1 to 3 p.m. A banquet will be held Thursday evening at 7:30 at the Vernal Junior High School. Friday, June 4 at 9:30 a.m. the chain heifer will be presented and the sale will commence at 10 a.m. |
