Show Enid Hatch I Phone 789-315Q . J Lance Hatch and David Hacking to serve LDS missions Maeser Second Ward has two missionaries mis-sionaries called to serve missions. Lance Hatch, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Hatch, called to Oakland, Calif., and David Hacking, son of D. Roger and Laura Hacking, called to Guatamala, So. America. Lance Hatch's testimonial will be Sun., April 19. He will enter the Mission Training Center April 23. David Hacking's call is for May. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Hatch received a call Sunday March 8 telling them that their daughter, Kathleen Jenkins' husband, hus-band, Wayne T.' Jenkins was called to be the new Bishop of Monroe Fourth Ward. Mrs. Pam Mecham and children from Powder Wash, Colo., spent the weekend at the Lynn Mecham's while in Vernal on business. Maeser First Ward Relief Society has planned their annual social for Friday, March 20 to be held 6:30 p.m. in the cultural hall of the Maeser Stake Center. Their husbands will be guests at a dinner and program. Mrs. Frank (Echo) Allen and Mrs. Reid (Jollea) Goodrich and daughter, Amber have returned from a trip to Calera, Ala., where they visited Clifford Clif-ford and Diane Storey and family. The Storey's have a new son, Clifford Lee. Their two daughters, Sheila Ann and Christine returned with Mrs. Allen. Mrs. Earl (Norma) Marchell came home Monday from a few days stay at the hospital in Roosevelt. Her mother, Eva Ashley went after her. Visiting with Allen and Nancy Car-dall's Car-dall's family in Dry Fork Canyon, over the weekend, was Allen's parents from Bountiful. Nancy's parents visited last weekend. Michael and Teresa Suhr and son, Brent have returned to Logan after completing his training in the Ag. Department at Uintah High. While here Teresa got to visit her grandfather, Tony Woodhouse and a cousin. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Walker and Trent from Orem, Mr. and Mrs. Gary Huber and Chris from I'rovo, and friend Denile Noble, visited the past weekend with L.W. Tullis. Cheryl McMullin from Roosevelt visited Teriann Merkley Sun., March B. Russel Day from San Diego, Calif., is staying at the home of David and Geraldine White while working here. He plans to return to California in the near future for his family. Mrs. Keith (Elaine) Rolerts is at home again after surgery at the Cottonwood Cotton-wood Hospital in Salt Lake City. The Maeser Second Ward Primary was reorganized Sun., March 8. Released Releas-ed was Alysa Mansfield as president, Shirley Crofts and Dana Burfett as counselors. New president is Betty Rae Mecham with Aclreanna McDonald and Marlea Beckstead as counselors, Cheryl Richens, secretary. Mr. and Mrs. Kirt Rich and children from Price visited parents, the Thoral Richs and the Don Browns of Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. Dee Jenkins returned home Sun., March 8 for a trip to Monterey, Calif., where they attended the annual spring convention of the Federal Land Bunk. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Hullinger made a trip to Provo Saturday of last week. The following are living at the Blanch Smith home; Rhonda Godrey, Murray; Lena llaymore of Mesa, Ariz., student teachers ut Naples Elementary School; Paula Snow, Layton, student teacher at Maeser Elementary ; and Debara Hani-son, Hani-son, Salt Lake City, student teacher at Ashley Elementary School. Heid Goodrich from Blaekfoot. Idaho arrived Fri., March 6 to get his wife Joellu Goodrich who had relumed from ' a trip to Georgia with her sister, Echo Allen where they visited the Cliff Storey family. Arvid Merkley is at the Uintah County Coun-ty Hospital, he will slay the rest or this week. Everett and Norma Alexander have returned home. They visited friends and relatives in Utah und California In January and February. Mr. and Mrs. Tad Merkley visited Karlene Merkley in Orem. They had a doctors appointment in Salt Lake City this week. |
