Show Uinfeah Ufles and Jordan clash in gymnastics meet The Uintah Utes gymnastic team scored 170 points, but Jordan pocketed 342 points and defeated the Utes in a dual meet in Vernal, Thursday. Union High School competed in the contest as a practice meet. Uintah's Keni Hacking tied for second place in the Class 3 vault with a score of 8.25. Jordan's Hollinger also placed second at 8.25. Neff of Jordan nabbed first place at 8.5 and Kay McDowell of Uintah tied for third place with Creer of Jordan at 8.2. Jordan's McAllister placed fourth at 7.9 and Uintah's Joy Remington netted fifth place at 7.7. Harding of Jordan picked up sixth place at 7.6. The Utes' Vickie Powell tied for fifth place in the Class 3 beam of 7.2 with Hanchett of Jordan. Creer of Jordan placed first at 9.2 and Osborn, Jordan, placed second at 8.89. Harding, Jordan, netted third at 8.8 and Shell, Jordan, placed fourth at 7.7. Jordan's Judd placed sixth at 7.1. Uintah's Horrocks tied for fourth place with Christensen of Jordan at 8.0 in the Class 3 floor exercises. Jordan's Allen placed first at 8.5 and Creer, Jordan, netted second place at 8.3. Jordan's Judd nabbed third place at 8.2. Oswald of Jordan garnered sixth place at 7.2. Jordan captured all six placed in the Class 3 bars. Uintah had only one contestant, Kathy Olivers, in the Class 3 bars. Allen of Jordan placed first at 8.6 and Creer netted second Dlace at 8.39. Bedford placed third at 8.2 and McAllister garnered fourth place at 8.19. Harding netted fifth place at 7.59 and Judd nabbed sixth place at 7.4. Hacking gained the highest score in the meet for Uintah with a score of 8.7 in the Class 2 floor exercises. However, the outstanding performance by Hacking, which was one of the highlights of the meet for Uintah, was only good enough for fourth place as Lee of Jordan placed first at 9.5. Toole, Jordan, nabbed second at 9.2 and Walke of Jordan placed third at 9.0. Smith of Jordan nabbed fifth place at 8.5. Remington, Uintah and Moore, Jordan, tied for sixth place at 8.0. Uintah's Remington pocketed sixth place in the Class 3 beam at 7.9. Toole, Jordan, placed first at 8.7 and Ritzman, Jordan, nabbed second place at 8.6. Walke of Jordan captured third place at 8.4 and Lee, Jordan, netted fourth place at 8.2. Jordan's McAllister placed fifth at 8.0. Chivers of Uintah garnered fifth place in the Class 3 vault at 7.3. Jordan's Jor-dan's Lee placed first at 9.7 and Adams of Jordan and Moore of Jordan tied for second place at 9.1. Smith, Jordan, placed third at 9.0.
