Show Stephenson's celebrate 10th wedding anniversary Glen and Dolores Stephenson celebrated their 10th ' wedding anniversary an-niversary Friday, March 6, 1981 at the Golden Age Center. Over 200 friends and relatives enjoyed an evening of visiting and dancing to the music of the Basineer Band. The hall was decorated with large wedding bells in pastel colors and vases of red roses. Refreshments were served throughout the evening. One of the highlights of this special occasion was the program presented by the Stephenson's children, friends and relatives. Darius Burke, acting as master of ceremonies announced the following numbers. "I Love You Truly" and "Sweetest Story Ever Told" sung by Don Wardle, Dolores' brother. Musical selection, "Kissing Can Do No Harm," was performed by Melba and Tony Woodhouse. Tributes of love and appreciation ap-preciation were giten by Larry Burke, Janice Merklny and Cindy Foster. "More," a solo sung by Kathy Snow was accompanied by Deleen Green. Deleen also played the "Anniversary Waltz" on the piano. "Red Roses" was a solo sung by Blaine Pierce accompanied ac-companied by Melba Woodhouse. During this number, Glen and Dolores danced. A musical reading "Touch Me" was given by Laneita Young as Melba Woodhouse played "Melody of Love" on the piano. There was a special tribute given early in the evening by the combined children of the Stephenson's. A reading "Memories" composed and given by Margie Burke, was followed by the song, "Where Love Is," sung by the following children: Darius, Margie, Larry, Phyllis, Janice, Hal, Carol, Tom, Kathy, Dale, Deleen, LaNeita and granddaughter Cindy. Tina Wilkins and Evelyn Richardson were at the guest table to greet the people attending the festive affair. Several musical compos com-pos it if; sis were, played fey Thora Riulford on the organ. |
