Dowell Ladies hold spring fashion show Thursday, March 5 at the Dinaland Country Club the Dowell Ladies held its monthly dinner meeting. Following dinner and a short business meeting concerning this weekend's rummage sale, a fashion show was presented by some of Vernal's popular clothing stores. Included among the new spring and summer fashions modeled were bathing suits, jeans, sportswear, evening apparel, children's fashions and western wear. The five businesses who displayed only a sampling of their new spring and summer clothing items were Classic Fashions, Dinah Jeans, ' Mr. S Clothing, Russie's Fashions and Sunset Sports Center. The show was commentated by club president, Jerrie Held and secreatry Lynnette Ray. The Dowell Ladies would like to extend thank-yous to all who participated par-ticipated in or helped in any way with presenting this very enjoyable and successful evening. Three ladies new to the Vernal area were welcomed into the Dowell Ladies Club Ellen Colthorp, Kathy McCue and Olivia Molina. Also, it was announced an-nounced that club member Mary Stringham's mother had passed away that same day. There were forty club members present and seven guests. |
