Sally Bastain and Patty Stewart and Councilors and Angela Cooradt as secretary. Sustained were Earlene Page and president, Carol Limberg as 1st councilor and Janet Newbold as secretary. No second councilor has yet been chosen. Sheila Lind entertained at a birthday party Saturday afternoon in honor of her son Rick's eighth birthday. Dale and Betty Merrell went to Salt Lake City Saturday returning Sunday, j Erma Merrell had open heart surgery at the St. Mark's Hospital last Tuesday. Dan Karren had the cast off his leg last Friday. He had surgery on his knee Feb. 12. Verdon Manwaring's three children stayed with their grandmother Elva Manwaring for ten days while their parents were in Redmond, Wash. Ann Crow spent the day with her grandmother Reva Ruppe last Thursday. Thur-sday. Edris Karren and Lee Karren w ent to Provo Thursday where Edris had a doctors appointment. They were overnight visitors of Max and' Ilene Harrison. They returned home Friday evening. Phillip and Ella Manwaring and family went to Salt I,ake City on business last Wednesday. Amelia Knight entertained at quilting Friday. Her mother Elaine Hullinger and daughter of Roosevelt and several local friends attended. Mrs. David Manwaring and baby daughter Nicole Ashley of Tacoma. Wash., accompanied the Verdon Manwarings here from Washington to visit her parents, Larry and LaRae Jackson and relatives here last week. Carol Southam left Saturday for Hillspring, Canada where she will care for her grandchildren while their parents, Mark and Dianne Smith, go to Africa for a visit. Mr. Smith went to Africa on an LDS mission before he was married. Dallas Merrell went to Salt Lake City on business last Friday. He visited Erma Merrell in the St. Mark's Hospital while there. Annette Reynolds and Toni Reynolds entertained at a dinner Monday evening at the Glen Reynolds home in honor of Lee Broadbent who left Friday for Fillmore where he has been transferred. tran-sferred. Present were the Lee Broadbcnts, the Kenneth Reynolds family, the Frank Novingers and Jennifer, the Keith Murrays and sons, the Linus Openshaws and the Glen Reynolds family. Friday Glen and Toni Reynolds and sons Kirk and Fred and Glen Murray accompanied the I,ce Rroadlcnts to Fillmore to help them move into their home. They returned Saturday evening. Mrs. Broadbent returned with them for a few weeks. She is employed at First Security Bank. Norda Cook entertained at n family dinner in honor of her daughter Janeen's birthday Saturday evening. Present were the Connie Southntn family, the Douglas Cook family, Jack Webb and Steven Cook and the Morris Cooks. |
