HO-059-07 NOTICE OF hearing BEFORE THE PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION OF UTAH In the Matter of the Application Ap-plication of UTAH GAS SERVICE COMPANY, a corporation, for a decrease in its gas rates to offset changes in the cost of gas Utah Gas Service Ser-vice Company purchases from others. Notice is hereby given that the above-entitled matter will be heard before the Public Service Commission of Utah at American Legion Hall, Moab, Utah, onTucMluv. Applicant, Utah Gas Service Company, proposes pro-poses adjustments in its gas rates to reflect price changes from all of its supply sources. Applicant proposes to adjust its rates to reflect increases from intrastate suppliers as a result of increases in the ceiling price of gas as established by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission pursuant to authority con- -tained in the Natural Gas Policy Act of 1978. Applicant Appli-cant proposes to reflect the ceiling price of October Oc-tober 1, 1980 of $2,588 per Mcf in its rates; the FERC ceiling price presently reflected in Applicant's Ap-plicant's rates is $2,504 per Mcf which was the ceiling price as of July 1. 1980. Applicant represents that the change in ceiling price results in Applicant's effective ef-fective intrastate gas cost being increased from 26.999 cents per therm to 27.898 cents per therm. Applicant also represents that its interstate pipeline supplier, , Northwest . Pipeline Corporation, has reduced the rates under which Applicant purchases pur-chases gas effective October Oc-tober l. 1980 from ;i8.4:il cents per therm lo ;S5.014 cents per therm. The total annual gas cost from all sources as projected in Applicant's corresponding correspon-ding filings in Case No 80-059-04.. a general rate proceeding, filed on September 5, 1980, is $5,702,355. The total annual an-nual cost of gas effective October 1, 1980 as projected pro-jected in this Application is calculated to be $5,312,144, resulting in an annualized gas cost decrease of $390,211 as compared to the data in Case No. 80-059-04. Apli-cant Apli-cant proposes lo reflect the gas price adjustment in all of its rates by a like amount per therm. The information submitted sub-mitted with the Application Applica-tion indicates that the gas cost decrease will be approximately ap-proximately $21.58 annually an-nually for the average residential customer or an annual decrease of 4.22. The Application in this matter is directly related to Applicant's general rate proceeding in Case No. 80-059-04 and will be heard on a consolidated bases at the same time and place as set forth above. Certain of the financial information reflected above is subject to adjustment pursuant to ultimate Findings of the Commission in the related proceedings. BY ORDER OF THE COMMISSION.
