They visited West Yellowstone and Bozeman, Montana, Mon-tana, on their wedding trip after which they are making their home in Vernal. Hofmann-Steele wed in Vernal Christian Church Darley Renette Hofmann, daughter of Nils and Darley Hofmann of Vernal, became the bride of John Warren Steele, son of Doctors Charles and Catherine Steele of Great Falls, Montana,' Mon-tana,' Saturday, Oct. 11, 1980 in the Vernal Christian Church. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Dale Crowell, minister of the Vernal Christian Church and Rev. Ralph Sorter, minister of the Christian Church in Farmington, N.M. Ralph sang, "The Lord's Prayer" and "We've Only Just Begun." The lovely bride was escorted to the alter by her father. The bride wore a floor length white lace dress with a fitted bodice and a Queen Anne neckline. The long sleeves were buttoned at the wrist with a lace ruffle accented by narrow white ribbon. The skirt had five wide lace tiers with a chapel-length train. The veil and pearls the bride wore belong to her mother. The brides bouquet was of peach and yellow silk roses arranged on a white lace fan. ; . The maid of honor was Nancy Lopez of Vernal, presently attending BYU in Provo. The matron of honor was the bride's aunt; Virginia Patrick of Portland, Ore. Bridesmaids were Sandy Critton of Vernal and Colleen Winder of Enterprise, Utah. Their floor length dresses were yellow and peach lace. They each carried a pastel silk rose. The flower girl was Sharla Winder, daughter of George and Colleen Winder of Enterprise, Utah. Cousin of the bride, Andy Liimatta of Minturn, Colo., lit the candles .and acted as ringbearer. The brides mother wore a floor length sheer yellow floral dress with a full skirt and a shawl collar. The grooms mother wore a floor length peach dress. They each wore a corsage with a yellow and peach silk rose. Attending the groom as best man was his brother, Charlie Steele. Ushers were Rick Hofmann, brother of the bride and brothers of the groom, David and Richard Steele. The groom wore a white suit with yellow trim on the ruffled shirt and a yellow rose for his boutonniere. The bestman, ushers and ringbearer were attired in light blue suits with a peach rose for their boutonniere. Attending the guest book was Starine Bynum. The Ladies Missionary Circle Cir-cle helped in the kitchen. The couple greeted guests at a reception held in their honor at the Kiwanis Scout House. The three tier wedding cake was decorated with peach and yellow roses and topped with a hand blown glass heart adorned with two doves on the top and two wedding bells in the center of the heart. The cake was made by Mary Baker,, a friend. of thei couple. vii Special out-of-town guests included the groom's family. The bride's grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Burton of Hermiston, Ore., and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Phillips of Eagle, Colo. Aunt and uncle of the bride, Alberta and Evertt Liimatta of Minturn, Colo. Great aunts of the bride, Maxine Quimby of Fruita, Colo., and Lucille Whitener and daughter, Christa, of Grand Junction, Colo. Ralph and Gloria Sorter and three sons of Farmington, N.M. The happy couple honeymooned at West Yellowstone and Bozeman, Mont. They will make their home in Vernal. |
