However, tSa today rescinded the first, and no nrei will be sent from artillery commands Considerable debate has arisen in the regiment as to the disposition of th training school should the divjn move to the battle front durirj lit course. Tt was announced at divisional headquarters today that the school will move with the division should it be ordered away. According to the present pres-ent plans, the men who successful!; complete the course will be returneJ to the regiment as candidate officer! with the rank of sergeants until vacancies va-cancies occur in the commissiond ranks. Slow Firing Done. Rifle firing on the infantry range under the supervision of Major William E. Kneass was on the programme for the Utah men todaj-, and will continu? until every man has qualified. Slow firing, which is the first part of the instruction course, was the only wort today. Details were selected from each battery for the first day 's practice, and tomorrow other men will take their places until the instruction course ii completed. Major Kueass seemed well pleased with the manner in which artillerymen went through their fin: firing. Officers of the division journeyed h the artillery range this afternoon ana witnessed the fire of forty machine guns upon the same targets which wW bombarded by the Utah artillerymei yesterday. The targets were placed is many different marching positions, an-the an-the firing was done to determine whit: formation would suffer the least nun ber of casualties in an advance. Although the machine guns spraye. the target area for fully twenty minute, examination of the targets showed tit fire not nearly as effective as the shrapnel of yesterday. Major General Frederick S.
