Show FOREGOES CIRCUS; BUYS THRIFT STAMPS "Will you feke me to the circus?" asked Conway Geertsen, 8 years of age, son of P. C. Geertsen, county health officer. offi-cer. The question was addressed by the child to his mother Monday afternoon. "Yes," said Mrs. Geertsen. The urchin remained studious for a few minutes, then asked, "How much will It -cost?" "About $1.50, I suppose," answered the mother, matter-of-factly. "Mamma, that would buy six thrift stamps,",said the boy, after more study. Let's not go, but buy thrift stamps with the money." The lad had his desire and now possesses pos-sesses the half-dozen thrift stamps. |
