Show FORT DOUGLAS MEN WILL ATTEND CAMP Non-Commissioned Officers Ordered to Officers' Training School. SAX FRANCISCO, May U, Names of enlisted men selected from the western west-ern deparkment to attend the fourth officers' of-ficers' training camps, which open at various army posts June 15, were announced an-nounced here late today by Major Lionel S. Schmitt, assistant to the adjutant of the western department, who was chairman chair-man of the committee which selected the men. Other members of the committee were Major Jesse K. Tarbell. adjutant's general's gen-eral's department, reserve corps, and First Lieutenant Cyrus F. Dagger, adjutant ad-jutant general's department, national army. The 136 successful men were selected from 8700 applicants. They represent approximately ap-proximately 2 per cent of the enlisted men in this department. The list included the following men from the Twentieth Infantry, stationed at Fort Douglas, Utah, who are to attend the camp at Camp Fremont, Palo Alto, Cal.: Sergeants Robert B. Foegle, John Kurowski, Claire Van Voorhis, B. F. Noyes, George Streitz, Harry J. Niemann, John E. Dprham, Leon Moss, Moran Carter Car-ter and Louie A. Palmer; Corporals Frederick Fred-erick E. Ring, Emdyemcoin Cleveland, Milton R. Hart, John Paul Decker, G. A. Rasdalle, Earl W. James, Frederick W. Kemper, Samuel M. Chandler, Jacob : laberle, Robert W. Dwigans, Gene A. Amundson, Percy W. Seay, V. E. Gus-tafson, Gus-tafson, "B. H. Stockton, Ben Goff, Leroy K. Pemberton and Arthur IT. Dilley: Privates Pri-vates Chauncev V. Hill, Wilbur S. Jordan, Ralph M. Williams, L. M. Byrd, J. D. Slick, C- C. Backes and Harvey B. Wells; Private T. M. Jones, unassigned, infantry. The above list of names of candidates chosen from Fort Douglas to attend the fourth series of officers' training camps is the same as was published exclusively in The Tribune last week, following the examination of the candidates by a board at the post and the sending of their names to the western department with recommendation of the board that they were qualified to enter the training camps. |
