Show CRUDE OIL DEMAND STILL UNSATISFIED The demand for crude oil remains unsatisfied un-satisfied the nation over, but the heaviest tlemand is for fuel oil, and it will be the shortage of this that wilt effect less essential es-sential intl us tries, including news print. The amount of petroleum and its products prod-ucts exported during March of this year was almost the same as In March. 1917. For March the amount was 210,949.SSj gallons, which was S39.1S3 gallons more than in the corresponding month of the previous year. But the increase in value for the latest report is very marked, the amount being $-'S,S92.S44, as against $16,-7?9.61" $16,-7?9.61" for March, 1917. Comparisons of the two months show that the only increase in-crease as to grades was of gasoline and lubricating oil, in which at this time there is no appearance of a shortage to be felt. |
