Show PICKING JURY FOR LIVINGSTON TRIAL Work of Selecting Panel Incomplete; Second Degree Murder Charged. Impaneling a jury to try tho case of Georgo Livingston, charged with murder in the second degree, for the killing of Arthur T. Hyde last. Christmas Christ-mas night, was begun yesterday in Judge W. H. Bramel's division of the Third district court. The jury had not been completed at adjournment. Nine men were passed for cause and a special venire of talesmen tales-men had been called. The father and mother of- tho Hyde vouth were in the courtroom, as were also the wife, brother and other rola, fives of the defendant. Tho victim of the affair, 16 years of age, was shot while running from the direction of the Livingston premises, prem-ises, and the defense offered by Livingston Liv-ingston at the preliminary heariug was that he had caught tho boy skulking in the yard of his home and had shot at him to stop him when he ran, the bullets taking effect, with no such intention in-tention on the part of the man using the pistol. The case will be resumed at 10 o'clock this morning. |
