Show MEMORIAL PROGRAM AT OGDEIAiOUNCEO Services Are to Be Held in Both Cemeteries and at the River. Special to Tlie Tribune. OGDEN, May 29. Memorial day will be observed tomorrow by the members of the Grand Army of the Republic, the Women's Wom-en's Relief corps and the Spanish-American War Veterans in paying a tribute to departed comrades. The program calls for a visit to the two cemeteries, where the graves will be decorated, and to the Ogden river bridge, where flowers will be cast upon the water in honor of those who lost their lives in the navy. The veterans of the two wars and the ladies of the circle will meet at the city hall at 10 a. m. and go to the Mountain View cemetery, where the ritualistic service ser-vice of the (J. A. R. will be observed. The Rev. Christian R. Garver will deliver the principal address. At 1:30 p. m. the veterans vet-erans and the ladies will meet at Liberty Lib-erty park and march to the Ogden City cemetery, three blocks distant, and hold services and decorate the graves. The principal address will be given by the Rev. Godfrey Matthews. From the City cemetery the veterans will go to the river bridge, where the ceremony in honor of the naval heroes will be observed. There will be no other special observance of the day, other than that which has been the annual custom of the people of the city in doing honor to the departed relatives and friends in the two cemeteries. Special memorial services, commencing at 10 a. til., also will be held tomorrow at the Church of the Good Shepherd. The Rev. J. W. Hyslop, the rector, will conduct con-duct the services. The honor roll will be read and special prayers in behalf of all of the American soldiers and sailors will be offered. |
