Show ASKS FOR LOYAL SUPPORT OF LABOR Governor Bamberger in Oakland Also Urges Fair Treament of Workingmen. OAKLAND, Oil., Mav 29. So declared Governor Bamberger of Utah, speaking todav at a "trench luncheon" of business busi-ness "men engaged in war service work here. Mr. Bamberger urged labor to be Ioval and urged capital to meet with labor and adjust differences amicably. "The foreigner who comes here to partake of the benefits of American freedom should be more loyal even than the native-born American," said Mr. Bamberger. ' I have found the west more loyal than the east principally because the west is a land of pioneers who are always more loyal to their homes. ' ' Mr. Bamberger urged support of the Red Cross, war loans and other aids to the prosecution of the war. |
