Show TRIBUTE IS PAID TO ORGANIST'S MEMORY Funeral services for Miss Nora. Glea-sou Glea-sou were held at 10 o'clock yesterday morning at the Cathedral of the Madeleine. Made-leine. Pontifical high mass was celebrated cele-brated by the Rt. Rev. Joseph 8. Glass, bishop of the diocese of Salt Lake, who was- assisted by father DeGroot of South Bend, as assistant priest, Father Eck as deacon of the mass, Fathers Sheehati and Wie.utjes as deacons dea-cons of honor, Father Dunne as sub-deacon sub-deacon and Father Anzalone as master mas-ter of ceremonies. The cortege left the residence, 84 C street, at 9:40 o'clock, and proceeded proceed-ed to the cathedral. A profusion of flowers testified to the high regard in which Miss Gleason was held by her friends. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet and the eathedral choral society, with P. Bansbach acting as organist. Among the musical numbers were "Requiem," "O Jesu, Ego Amo Te," and the Gregorian chant, while Mrs. Florence Locke Viles gave Gounod's Gou-nod's "Ave Maria" as a solo. I Bishop Glass spoke of her life of service to tho church, and paid a touching touch-ing tribute to her character. The Knights of Columbus participated in the ceremonies and six of their number acted as pallbearers. Interment was in Calvary cemetery. |
