Show SOUTHERN PACIFIC TRAIN IS WRECKED Forty Passengers and Employees Injured In-jured When Special Is Derailed In Louisiana. LAFAYETTE, La., May 29. Forty passengers and trainmen were injured, one of the latter perhaps fatally, when Southern Pacific westbound passenger train No. 101, known as the do luxo spe-sial. spe-sial. was derailed near here late today. A defectivo switch Is believed to have caused the wreck. The train consisted of eleven coaches, all but two of which left the track. Among the passengers injured are: G. W. Hanson, troop K, Kighth cavalry, cav-alry, Marfa, Texas; cuts on head and face. E. F. King, Los Angeles; bruised on body and legs. Mrs. Fred Dubois, Burllngame, Ca!.; cut about the face. All of the injured were brought to Lafayette. |
