Show RULES ISSUED FOR PURCHASE OF Wt . In Country Sections MiLs Will Buy From Distributing Distrib-uting Centers. WASHINGTON, May 29. Regulations for handling the 1918 California and New Mexico wool clips were announced today by the war industries board. Rules were issued also for wool buying by mills in the country sections. California producers will get the full government price, less freight to the Atlantic At-lantic seaboard, and interest on any advance ad-vance made up to the time the wool reaches its destination. Growers in states west of the Missouri river may not sell, but must consign their wool to an approved ap-proved dealer in an approved distributing center. Dealers in New Mexican wool are granted grant-ed the privilege of buying clips of irregular ir-regular grade and scouring them at local mills. They must pay growers fair prices, based on Atlantic seaboard values fixed by the government, less scouring cost, freight to Atlantic seaboard and interest of 6 per cent to cover period of wool in transit. The local buyer may not make a profit of more than L cent a pound i" the grease. . In the country wool sections ordinary mills will buy from distributing centers, and included in the price under these circumstances cir-cumstances will be 5l cents' commission, plus freight to Atlantic seaboard. |
