THROUGH the snle of cut flowers and potted plants, a few members of the war work depol organization organiza-tion of the Red Cross yesterday added $137 to the supply fund of this band of workers. Two of the booths utilized by the local chapter of the Red Cross in the just-completed drive, were occupied by the flower sellers, stationed at Second South and Main ;ind Third South and Main streets. Mrs. D. Moore Lindsay Lind-say is chairman of the war work deptt. and Mrs. Clarence Lang treasurer, the latter being in charge of the booths yesterday, yes-terday, assisted by Mrs. David Keith, lr., Miss Marjorie Dey, Miss Alice Wall, Miss Alice Kimball, Miss Marie Gihbons, Mrs. Deane Brayton, Mrs. Glenn Traul, Mrs. Roger Powers, Miss Erma Zane, Mrs. Leonard Watson and Miss Kate Groo. These young women will also sell flowers flow-ers today at both the City cemetery and Mount Olivet cemetery, from 10 o'clock on throughout the day. |
