Two experimental experimen-tal flotation systems ar being Installed for the big mill of the Ohio Copper company com-pany under its new plan of reorganization, it was recently -announced. According to eastern engineers either one or both processes pro-cesses will be employed in the treatment of the company's ore after thorough tests have been made. Examinations of the property by eminent emi-nent engineers has shown that the company com-pany has in sight at least 10,000,000 tons of ore, carrying . S of 1 per cent copper. It is declared by the mining operators tiiat wit en the flotation systems are in complete working condition a saving of about S3 iyr cent will be secured. Even though the red metal should be valued as low as 15 cents a pound, which does not seem at all Jikely, the handling of 2000 tuns a day, which is the present output of the Ohio Copper, will produce a net earning of $3S0,0ot) annually. It is stated that the estimates made by the engineers who have- examined the property are conservative and the probability prob-ability is that the capacity of the plant will be augmented rather than diminished. |
