Two guests substituting for club members, who could not be present, were Mrs. J. W. Waters and Mrs. G. A. Light. The guests were presented with crepe de chine handkerchiefs. A "Basket and Bow" party will be given tonight at the Twenty-eecond ward amusement hall by the women or the ward. The women will furnish baskets of dainties and two bows each, and the men drawing bows of corresponding color will be their partners for lunch. A musical musi-cal programme will also be given. Mrs. H. H. Williams entertained her "500" club Wednesday. The game was followed bv a talk on "Women" by Mrs. Eleanor Sears. Tea was served to the twelve club members. The Art Guild society of the University of Utah held an Initiation party last evening even-ing at the home of Miss Grace Richards, 1975 South Ninth East street, for Miss Bessie Marks and Miss Eliza Packard. Several papers on art were read by the members of the club, after which a musical musi-cal programme was given. Following the programme, light refreshments were served. i Under the auspices of the department of home economics of the University of Utah, the third lecture of the Home- maker's course was given last evening by Miss Lavinia Parke at 7:30 o'clock in the domestic art room. The course was organized several months ago under the direction of Miss Alice Ravenhill, traveling representative for the American Home Economics association. Sims, 38 J street, of the marriage on March 7 of his daughter, Susie Marguerite Mar-guerite Sims, to Don M. Yost of Meridian, Idaho. The wedding was to have been held later, but owing to the sudden death of Mrs. Sims last month the marriage was very simple and was attended only by the members of the family. The Rev. F. V. Fisher' performed the ceremony. Mrs. Yost will remain in Salt Lake until June, when she, will go to Meridian to join her husband, who has a large ranch near that city.
