Show JORDAN PRINCIPALS USX SW RAISE District School Board Promises Prom-ises Increase if Revenues Permit. At the regular bi-monthly meeting of the Jordan district school board last night in Midrale, seven principals of the district presented a communication to the board, petitioning for an increase in salary of $10 a month for the neit school .year. According to Soth Pixton and Superintendent Super-intendent Orson Ryan, the request wall be granted, provided there is sufficient revenue to meet the increase. It was explained that the purpose of the meeting last night was to afford an opportunity for board members and the principals to get together on a basis of mutual sympathy and understanding and that "the communication presented was not meant as a demand in any sense. The matter of reappointment of principals prin-cipals for the ensuing school year -was taken up for consideration and the principals prin-cipals offered renewals of contract. Henry Peterson, principal of the Jordan Jor-dan high school, said that he did not wish to be considered for reappointment. As a possible candidate for his position Enoch Jorgenseu was named. Plans submitted by Architects Cannon and Fetzer for the new $25,000 school building for Highland Boy were accepted. ac-cepted. The building will contain five rooms and a principal 's office. It is expected ex-pected to begin construction on the building as soon as the schools close j this year, which will be in May. |
