Show FIND THEIR QUARRY IS STATE PRISONER f Month's Search by Officers . Locates Much-wanted Idaho Man in He-vada He-vada Penitentiary. After more than a month's search for a man and a team, harness and wagon that disappeared from Preston, Idaho, last December, Deputy Sheriff B. E. Harries reported yesterday that he had found the man in the .Nevada state prison, tho harness at Arco, Idaho, and the wagon at ,150 South Second West street, in this city. Deputy Harries started upon the trail of the man, whose name is given as Ed Johnson, arter he was alleged to have distributed bad checks in this city last fall. The deputy located him in Preston, Pres-ton, then learned of his disappearance from there as well as tho disappearance of the team aud outfit that had been turned over to him for the winter by J. H. Bosworth of Preston in consideration of feed for tho horses, Bosworth hav-nS hav-nS gone to work throughout the winter in a coal mine at Rock Springs, Wyo. According to the information received by Deputy Harries, Johnson is now serring a term of fourteen years in the Navada prison after having been convicted con-victed of forgery and larceny. So far as the man is concerned, the deputy regards re-gards the search as ended. The harness was recovered recently from Arco and identified. The wagon has been found. Now only the horses remain to be found, and Deputy Harries says that he has a clew to their whereabouts. |
