Show DOWNEY-WORKMAN ONCE" MORE DRAW Jack Downey, Salt Lake's everlasting veteran fighter, returned last night from Rigby Idaho, where on Wednesday night he engaged In an exchange of punches with Cyclone Workman. The result was a draw, but It was a stemwinder at that. It lasted fifteen fierce and ferocious rounds. In the seventh, Workman caught Jack on the point ot" the chin with a healthy poke and Jack knew nothing for eight all off with the Salt Laker, but, much to tho astonishment of himself and the assembled as-sembled fans. Downey came back so strong and so determinedly that the referee ref-eree called it a draw. Owing to transportation difficulties neighboring towns sent few patrons and the house was small. The Wednesday fight was the second draw arrived at by Downey and Workman. Work-man. The previous battle was at ten rounds. |
