Show COAL MINES TO BE RESTORED TO OWNERS Carranza Government Issues Order Re lating to Properties in District of Coahuila, TCAGLE PASS, Texas, Nov. 9. An official of-ficial order of the Carranza government which will mean the ultimate return to legal owners of all coal mines in the northeast Coahuila district, except those owned by persons antagonistic to the constitutionalist con-stitutionalist government, was issued at Hermanns today by General Veuustiano Carranza, 'the first announced step to settle a question which recently caused inquiries by foreign governments interested inter-ested in protecting the property of their nationals. Final action in the return of the coal mines and also the question of indemnity for their seizure by representatives of the constitutionalists will be decided when General Carranza goes to Mexico City. It was said the other mines will remain in the possession of the government govern-ment authorities. Some of the mines affected In the order j are the Escondido, Rosila, Agujita, Anexas, Fenlx and Lampacitos, in whieh French and British citizens are said to be interested. , John R. Silliman, special agent of the state department, left todav for Her- j manas. From there, after a week's visit to General Carranza, he will proceed to Vera Cruz. ' |
