Herrick, former embassador to France, made the positive announcement here todav to-dav that he will not enter into a contest with former Senator Theodore Burton for the Republican indorsement in Ohio for the presidential nomination next year. Mr. Heriick's name has been prominently mentioned in connection with the presl-denlial presl-denlial nomination. Mr. Herrick's announcement read: In bu Interview with Mr. Burton early in October, I adviseJ him that I would not enter into a contest for the Ohio delegation against him and Indorsed In-dorsed his candidacy. I will be a candidate can-didate for delegate-at -large, feeling that I can be of service in bringing about ha rmony in the national Republican Re-publican rarty.
