One thousand horses in or near New York City are being used to produce tetanus antitoxine for the armies of "Europe, according to an estimate by Dr. Willia rn H. Park, hear! of the city's bacteriological laboratories. When the war began the board of health from humanitarian motives went into the business 'of making this serum, but now that the lare commercial laboratories have developed means for handling the Industry, Dr. Park said today, the department depart-ment has decided to return to its normal output.
