Hum-mer. It is the first blanket of suow deposited during November and December Decem-ber that determines the amount of water available for summer u?e. Reports from Brighton, in Big Cottonwood Cotton-wood catiyou, are that several inches of snow have fallen, and prospects are good for a much heavier fall. City Creek canyon also is receiving its first blanket, aud the storm is general through the watershed. Sprinkling regulations, which have been in force since the summer shortage began, -were removed yesterday by the water department. The Fifth South street reservoir is full to the brim now and the prospects of plenty of water for the remaiuder of the year are good. j |
