With half a dozen old-time football players on the field to assist, tiie Nebraska coaches today to-day began driving the Cornhusker squad hard in preparation for the Kansas game. The defensive work of the regulars lias her-n weak ever since the Notre Dame game. and the players nave shown a disposition dis-position to loaf. There was an absence of this in today's drill, which was the hardest for two weekR. Captain Rutherford, Ruther-ford, who watched the Kansans in action last Saturday, told the men they were facing the hardest game of the season at Lawrence.
