Show SALT LAKE WOMAN ATTEMPTS SUICIDE Mrs. Ethel Gould Admonished by Husband Hus-band and Becomes Downcast in Hotel at Chicago. Special to The Tribune. CIKCACO, lib, Nov. P. Mrs. Ethel (Jould is near death in St. Luke's hospital hos-pital and her husband is held in the South Clark street station. Mrs. Gould was found suffering from bichloride poisoning poi-soning in the. Commercial hotel late Monday. The couple registered at the hotel a week ago. A clerk received a call from Gould, asking him to call a physician, as Mrs. Gould was ill. Mrs. Gould asked that a telegram be sent to her mother, Mrs. Mary l-'errin -Sellwood hotel, Salt Lake City. Gould said his wife took the tablets following a quarrel. Gould told detectives that he had admonished his wife for dancing wfth another man while in the cafe. "T. told her she ought not to dance with a slranger," he said. "She appeared ap-peared to be downcast after that." Mrs. Marv Kerrin. who conducts the Sell wood hotel, 4 7 East Kirst South street, said lat night that she had received re-ceived from Chief of Detectives O'Brien a message ns to her daughter's act and serious condition. She declared ihat she knew of nothing that could throw anv light upon the case. She said that her daughter, who is now 20 years of age, married Gould about, a year ago in Spokane, Spo-kane, Wash. Gould is a traveling medical med-ical specialist. She did not know exactly exact-ly how long trior had been located in Chicago, but said that only last week when she heard from her .'laughter she was well and happy.
