Show I Negro Bound Over. Special to The Tribune. OGDEN. Feb. IS. After a preliminary hearing, in which twelve witnesses testified, tes-tified, George Crowder. colored, was bound over by Judge W. II. Reedor today to-day for trial in the district court on a charge or second-degree burglary. Eight of the witnesses testified for the slate and four for Crowder. It is charged in the complaint that the negro entered the Clipper barber shop. 2300 Washington avenue, on the night of February 7 and stole a bicycle belonging belong-ing to Ilebcr N. Folkumn, the proprietor. proprie-tor. Crowder, who had been employed as a porter at the shop, Is alleged to have sold the bicycle lo a second-hand dealer for $2.50. The defendant was arrested ar-rested In Logan at the request of th local lo-cal officers. |
