In order to pro- 1 mote distance running, a standard Amateur Ama-teur Athletic union bronze modal will be given to all those who cover the distance In less than 5S:00. Last year tjic winner of this event was John J. Daly of the Irish-American Athletic Ath-letic club. Me covored the distance In haih't 4-5. Daly is now gettlpg into good form, but he will have to be in his best form If he spools to win this event again.
