Show News of Ephraiin. Special to Tho Tribuno. EPHRAIM, Oct. 10. At an early hour yesterday morning Mrs. Elizabeth Quiun of this city was called by death. Mrs. Quinn had suffered heart trouble for years, but her condition was not thought serious until about a mouth ago, when dropsy set in. Mrs. Quinn was born in Burlington, Ohio, February 11, 1S47. Sanpete County Teachers Instituto is being held in this city today. Tho first meeting was held this nftornoon. A good representation of teachers wns present and au interesting talk wns delivered by Professor Mosiah Hall on the new course of study, also Professor Levi Young of tho University of Utah gavo a few remarks on obedienco to law. The Ephraim public schools furnished tho music. The teachers of Sanpeto count' wore given au invitation to meet with tho Sevier county teachers at Richfield Rich-field during tho month of February. The invitation was accopled and it was decided that an institute be hold at that plnce. At 7:30 this evening a principals' prin-cipals' and teachers' meeting was hold at the opera house. Tho next session will commence Saturday at 9 a. m. |
