Show LONE BANDIT HOLDS UP MISSOULA-BONNER STAGE MISSOU'LA. Mont.. Oct. 10. Armed with a ,22-calibcr rillc, tho lower portion por-tion of his features concealed with a red bandanna handkerchief, a lono highwayman this evening held up tho Missoula-Bonner stage, about two miles cast of this city, lined up the twelvo occupants and driver, and rolioved them of sums ranging from $5 to $25 each and disappeared in the gathering dusk. After securing the booty the bandit apologized, sa3'ing that hunger had driven him to commit the crime. Not a shot was fired until the job was completed, com-pleted, when the passengers were told to re-enter the coach, and after waru-. waru-. ing them not to look back, the robber fired a shot in the air and told the driver to resume his journo. I The authorities were quickly notified and Sheriff Campbell and his deputies are scouring tho nearby hills for the bandit. |
