Stcvo Macrovich, a membor of the Roman Catholic faction of Austrians at Bingham, which is engaged in a deadly religious war with tho Greek Catholic faction, will have to- stand trial for his Mfo on the charge of first-degree first-degree murder for the killing" of Mike Popovich, a Greek Catholic Austrian, Saturda' afternoon. Monday, Deputy Sheriff ,1. L. Forbes of Bingham camo to Salt Lake City and sworo to a complaint com-plaint against Macrovich, now lodged 111 the county jail, charging him with that crime. The body of Macrovich 's victim will bo laid lo rest in the Bingham cemetery ceme-tery at 1 o'clock this afternoon, with tho mystic burial rites of the Greek Catholic church. Tho funeral will bo held from J Tail's undertaking parlors. Further evidence came to light Monday Mon-day that Pete Gallacz, a member of tho Roman Catholic faction, who was shot from ambush and possibly mortally wounded Sunday morning, was fired upon from Mike Bogdan 's boarding quarters above Gallacz 's family says that three men emerged from tho Bog-dan Bog-dan placo shortly before the shooting and fired upon Gallacz when he approached ap-proached his doorstep on his wa' home. The assassins then fled back to Bog-dan's Bog-dan's place, but ono of them ran out of tho house again in a few minutes, and, tearing off his coat, fled towards the railway depot. It is supposed that this was the real would-be murderer, and that ho boarded an outgoing train to make his escapo from the placo. At an early hour this morning, Adam Prpich. alias Adam Smith, the supposed murderer of Mike Bobieh, who was shot from ambush at Garfield last Thursday afternoon, had not been captured, although al-though the sheriff's office is searching search-ing for him. |
