This has boon hanging firo for H the past six months, and sinco it was last, before the council it has been talked of favorably, and at lho present time it is said to bo satisfactory to all concerned. Another important mattor for consid-oration consid-oration is the installation of G0-candlo-powor incandescent lights to rcplaco tho arc lights now in use. At the last session the council passed an eight-mill lax for 100S, five mills for i current expenses and tlireo mills to cover road improvements and sidewalk extensions. This, to a person acquaiut- 'H ed willi the city finances, would seem an enormous levy. It will take six mills to straighten up the city's obligations to the close of J0DS and will leave but two mills to bo used. Tho ordinanco has gouo to Mayor Brown for his np- ,H proval. -H
