Show OGDEN SCHOOLS TO HAVE PROMINENT INSTRUCTOR Special to Tho Tribune. OGDEN. July 13. Prof. B. E. Cannon, recently connected with tho public schools of Muncle. Ind., in Ihc capacity of manual training Instructor, will occupy the samo position with reference to tho public schools of Ogden City next, session. This was decided upon definitely Mon- I day, when, at a meeting of tho Board of Education, a contract for Prof. Cannon'B j services was signed. Tho appointment 1 was made on the recommendation of j Superintendent William Allison, who became be-came acquainted with Prof. Cannon's record rec-ord while on a recent visit to tho East. Tho new Instructor is one of the foremost, teachers of manual training In the country, coun-try, having been connected with sonic 1 of, tho mo3t prominent of the Eastern I colleges and schools. J At the meeting of tho board Monday. the members sal as a. canvassing board checking up the returns from the recent bond election, which assured the erection of a now high school building. |
