That his self-destruction was caused by his misplaced affection for Mrs. Dora. Elmer, El-mer, a married woman living In the same community, there remains no doubt. A clerk In an Ogden hotel is authority for the statement that Wheeler held several sev-eral long conversations over the telc-I telc-I phone with tho lady In Slatervllle. and begged her to leave her home and cast her lot with him. but she persistently refused to give him any encouragement.
