Show Mrs. Garda Seeley Celebrates 93rd Birthday In S.L.C. Wilbur B. Woodruff, former resident res-ident of Bluebell, last week celebrated cele-brated his 93rd birthday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Lloyd, with whom he makes his home at 165 E. 24th So. in Salt Lake City. He was born April 30, 1863 in Illinois. As a boy he crossed the plains in a wagon train, settling in Colorado. Later he moved to Idaho and then to Utah. He made his home here in Bluebell for 20 years, leaving 19 years ago. His wife, Eva Jane Yeoman, whom he married in 1882, died in 1941. Five of his eleven children are living. They are Verne Woodruff, Wenatchee, Wash.; Mrs. Marie Hall, Seattle', Wash.; Mrs. Amy Woodbury, Reno, Nevada;. George Woodruff, Tooele; and Margaret Lloyd or Salt Lake City. He has 25 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Fontella Jenkins entertained entertain-ed at a party on Wednesday evening eve-ning at her home, the occasion being her husband's birthday anniversary. an-niversary. The following guests were present and had an evening of fun: Mr.' and Mrs. Norman Goodrich and Mr. and Mrs. Or-land Or-land Murray of Roosevelt, Mrs. Maxine Todd and Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Goodrich, Mr. and Mrs. R. G .Lisonbee and the Jenkins. A lovely lunch was served. Word comes to Bluebell to Mr. and Mrs. Jesse' Gale of the birth of a grandchild to their son-in-law and daughter, Danny and Phyllis Turner at Vernal. Mr. and Mrs. James W. Powell received word of the death of their son-in-law, Ray Howe of Salt Lake City. Mr. Howe died on Sunday. He has been seriously ill for about a year. |
