Show Seventy-Five New Rose Bushes Planted At Park Mrs. D. G. Mantyla, president of the Garden Club, reported this week that up to date club members mem-bers had planted' 75 new rose bushes' in the rose garden at the City Park. These replace' roses which have winter killed or died for various other reasons. Fifty were planted a few weeks ago and the remaining twenty-five planted last Saturday morning by the following workers: Mrs. Don Truman, Mrs. Robert Huish, Mrs. Gordon Harmston, Mrs. Douglas McKinlay, Mrs. Clair Ashton, Mrs. Louisa Campbell, Mrs. Kenneth Morgan, Mrs. Don Crittenden, Mrs. Herbert Barlow and Mrs. Mantyla, assisted by two scouts, Alfred Stringham and Kent Angus. An-gus. Next week a list of rose garden workers and the schedule for caring car-ing for the garden during the summer will be announced. |
