Show Minstrel Coming On May Ninth The Altamont P-TA has scheduled sched-uled the night of May 9th at 7:30 p.m. to stage a minstrel for the purpose of raising fund's to help beautify the high school campus, purchase playground equipment for the' Altamont Elementary School and to build a baseball diamond for the use of the school. A very good program has been planned by the P-TA committee. The Ink Blots and Sliberace will be' featured guests. A fish pond, bingo and many other games have been planned for the children. There will also be plenty of dancing. dan-cing. Admission will be adults 50&, students, with activity card, 250. The elementary children will be admitted free if they are accompanied accom-panied by their parents. Cake, punch and coffee will be for sale. Plan to be at school at 7:30 p.m. sharp on Wednesday, May 9. Everyone is talking about the big Minstrel. The following teachers are attending at-tending the extension class being held in Roosevelt: Mrs. Zola Stevenson, Stev-enson, Mrs. 'Edith Burton, Mrs. Birdie Swasey, Mrs. Louise Bear-den Bear-den and Don Nyberg. SENIORS HAVE DANCE The seniors held a dance April 27, to help raise funds for their trip. They will leave May 17, 18 and 19. They plan to visit Hoover Dam, Lake Mead', Bryce and Zion Canyon, Fillmore and St. George. Don Nyberg and Mrs. Opal Gomm plan to accompany them on the trip. The F.F.A. Livestock Show will be held on Friday, May 11th. The public is invited. Girls' Day dance will be held Friday evening, May 11th. The public is invited to attend the dance. Mr. and Mrs. Fay Miles ate Sunday Sun-day dinner with the Ed Crosbys. Mr. and Mrs. Crosby spent Wednesday Wed-nesday in Mt. Home visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Fay Miles and family. fam-ily. Mrs. Alvin Denver and Mrs. Ross Iorg motored to Santaquin last Sunday on business.. |
