Show MONTVELL May L. Mower Church Notes Those that sooke at Sacrament meeting Sunday were Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Olsen of' Ne'ola and Steve Adams of Orem, a former bishop of Montwel ward. The MIA held their Rose Bouquet Bou-quet evening last Tuesday. Mrs. Pearl Larsen is the' MIA leader and Kathleen Mower welcomed the mothers and stake leaders. Cherri Nelson gave the "Romantic "Roman-tic Story." The' girls sang as the rose bouquet was tied by Nola Nelson. The girls participating in placing their roses with a short talk on why they picked that particular par-ticular flower, were Kathleen Mower, Cherri Nelson, Lila Jean Blanchard, Karen Woodward, Carolyn Car-olyn Hunt, Joyce Hamblin and. Janice Powell. Mothers in attendance atten-dance were: Iva Powell, Jean Hamblin, Dean Hunt, Leta Woodward, Wood-ward, Nola Nelson and May Mower. Mr. and Mrs. Lester Gardner were ward visitors Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Don Lougee and children of Logan were visitors over the weekend at the home' of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mel-vin Mel-vin Mower. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brown of Logan visited their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Pace, over the' weekend. Steve Adams and Dee Adams are going to be here this summer farming on the Harvey Adams place. Harvey recently moved to Salem, Utah to make his home. The special interest class of ! the MIA held a smorgasbord last Friday evening. Dancing was enjoyed en-joyed by the' crowd. James Hamb--lin is the class teacher. - Mrs. May Mower of Roosevelt and Mr. and Mrs. Myron Mower and children of Provo were visitors vis-itors at the Melvin Mower home Sunday afternoon. ( Late for Last Week) Speakers at Sacrament meeting Sunday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Grover Dye, Mrs. Jennie Woodward and Lester Gardner of Neola. The MIA held their annual dance festival on Friday evening. Reese Timothy and Pat Markey of Roos evelt furnished the music. Refreshments Refresh-ments were served. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mower made a business trip to Ioka during dur-ing the week. . George Hunt has returned for the summer from Parker, Arizona, where he has spent the past winter. win-ter. The Scouts went on one of their overnight hikes during the week. Ray Brown attended a REA meeting at Altamont on Monday. The parents ond Scouts held their meeting Monday evening. A program of stories, jokes and a skit put on by boys and games were' played. Refreshments were served to all the ward Scouts and their parents and committeemen. Melvon Parry was rushed to Roosevelt Monday with another short attack of kidney stones. He' returned home the same day. |
