V BECOMES BRIDE Miss Barbara Marie Ray exchanged marriage vows with Warren Murdoch Weggeland in Salt Lake City. Both will continue studies at the University of Utah. Announcement is made of the recent marriage' of Miss Barbara Marje Ray, daughter of Mrs. Margaret Mar-garet Walton, Salt Lake City, and the late John Alvin Ray, to Warren War-ren Murdoch Weggeland, son of former State Senator and Mrs. Gordon L. Weggeland, also of Salt Lake City. Wedding vows were exchanged in a ceremony performed Tuesday, April 24, and a reception will compliment com-pliment the newlyweds at the home of the bridegroom's parents, Friday, May' 4. The bride is a student at the University of Utah, where she is affiliated with Kappa Kappa Gamma Gam-ma and was attendant recently to the White Rose of Sigma Nu. She graduated with the class of '55 from Union High School, where she was prominent in school affairs. af-fairs. Miss Ray won the title of Miss Dairy Darling for the Uintah Basin in 1954. The bridegroom, also a student at the University, is an affiliate' of Sigma Nu. He will graduate this spring with a B. S. degree in Political Science, and will enter law school next fall. Th-s justweds are making their home in Salt Lake City, where both will continue studies at the University. Among pre-nuptial events honoring hon-oring the new Mrs. Weggeland were bridal showers given by Mrs. W. B. Smith and Mrs. William Wil-liam Calvin. The bride is well-known in this vicinity, having made her home with her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs Ray Summers, for a few years at which time she attended at-tended Union High School." |
