Show St. Elizabeth's Church Notes VIOLET GRANT IS A SPEAKER AT PROVO RALLY WHITEROCKS Six White-rocks White-rocks women from St. Elizabeth's Episcopal Parish drove to Provo last Tuesday, April 24, with Pach-ez Pach-ez to attend the Spring Rally of the Women's Auxiliary of the church, held at St. Mary's Church in Provo. Violet Grant, president of the Auxiliary at the Mission gave the leading talk before women from all parts of the state who were in attendance. She stressed the recent growth in numbers and interest at the Mission and told of the program pro-gram of service to others and to the church being carried out by the women of St Elizabeth's. Others who went as delegates were Doris Ridley, Maggie Wy-asket, Wy-asket, Inez Loney, Evelyn Cuch, and Lila Mart. All agreed that participation in the Rally with women from throughout the state and the realization of the national importance of the work of the Women's Auxiliary made the all-day all-day trip an inspiring adventure. The' glorious hospitality of the women of provo as well as of friends in Heber on the return trip made the occasion one to be long remembered and cherished. o WHITEROCKS GIRLS JOIN NATIONAL ORGANIZATION A charter establishing the Cute Ute Chapter of the Girls' Friendly Society of the USA was received in Whiterocks this week from the national headquarters in New York. St. Elizabeth's Mission sponsors this chapter, which takes its place in the 80-year-old, world-wide organization or-ganization of girls and young women. Through its program the G.F.S. tries to help girls build sound bodies, alert minds, creative relationships and spiritual strength. Twenty-six Whiterocks girls are now members of this International organization. Several meetings have been held at the home of Pachez, who is the adult leader for the two groups into which the girls are organized. Instruction, work and fun combine to make the programs pro-grams interesting and helpfuL Officers of the junior group are: Lillian Duncan, president; Marion Tapoof vice-president; Delilah Duncan, secretary; and Froline Cornpeach, treasurer. Heading the senior group is Phoebe Atwine, president. Other officers are, Ruby Black, vice-president; Madeline Duncan, secretary; and Evelyn Chimbouras, treasurer. |
