' The combined civic and service clubs of Roosevelt will join next Thursday, May 10, in a general meeting to hear Parley Neeley, Bureau of Reclamation engineer, discuss the Upper Colorado River and Central Utah projects. The Chamber of Commerce is the sponsoring spon-soring organization.' , According to W. S. (Bill) Mur-dock, Mur-dock, Chamber president, an invitation in-vitation is being extended to all service clubs, men and women, in the' area to attend the meeting and -hear what Mr. Neeley has to tell us about the Roosevelt area and the Colorado River. Kiwanis, Lions, American Legion, all meet on Thursdays, and will postpone their regular meetings and join in a city-wide service club meeting. Women's organizations are invited to join in the project. Tentative plans call, for a din ner meeting- at the' Frontier Grill Cafe at 7;30, and if the after dinner din-ner crowd is too large to be accomodated ac-comodated at the cafe, the meeting meet-ing will be moved to either the. LDS stake house or the American Legion barracks. Bennie Schmiett, chairman of the Upper Colorado River committee com-mittee of the Chamber of Commerce, Com-merce, is in charge of arrangements, arrange-ments, and those desiring reservations reser-vations for the dinner (the public is invited) should contact Gordon Harmston on or before Wednesday, Wednes-day, May 9. Lions. Kiwanis and the Legion have all agreed to meet together in a dinner-meeting, and would welcome women's groups. |
